Who is this for?
Senior engineers around the world. Arca is a network of top senior engineers, and the open roles are for people who have already shipped production software.
What kind of companies will I work with?
US startups and product companies, usually led by founders or senior engineering leads who are building something new. Expect exciting products, current technology, and teams that want your opinion. We don't name clients on job posts, but you'll know exactly who you'd work for before you say yes.
What does the work look like?
You join one company and its product. You're in the standups, the Slack, and the planning, and your work ships to real users. The stacks are current, and AI is part of how the team works.
What support do I get from Arca?
A named account manager, regular check-ins on how you're doing, and ongoing training on the AI tools US teams use. If anything isn't working with your client, we help sort it out.
Do I need to be good with AI tools?
Yes, or well on your way. Our clients expect engineers who use AI every day to move faster and who can tell when it's wrong. If you're new to a specific tool, we'll help you get up to speed.
Do I need to work US hours?
Yes. You work the business hours of the US company you join, usually US Eastern, from wherever you live. Each role page lists its hours.
What happens after I apply?
If your background fits the role, we take you through six steps: a recruiter screen, a recruiter interview, a founder interview, a short homework task, a background check, and two references. This page spells out what each step is looking for.
