We built Arca because we needed it ourselves.

We run more than one business. One builds software, another is a home services company we own and operate. Different worlds, identical grind: payroll audits, research, bookkeeping, content, follow-up. The back-office work that quietly eats the week and never actually ends.

When a new generation of AI tools showed up - Claude Code, Codex, agents that can operate a computer - we pointed them at that grind. A weekly payroll audit that used to take two to four hours dropped to about ten minutes, and the AI flagged discrepancies a tired human would have skimmed past.

The tools were powerful. They were also tedious to babysit, easy to abandon, and risky to trust blindly. They did not run themselves. They needed a capable person driving them every day.

The bottleneck was people who actually use it.

Most people try these tools for an afternoon and slide right back to the old way of working. The leverage does not go to whoever has the best model. It goes to whoever builds the daily reps.

We already had part of the answer: a sharp, motivated team in the Philippines. So we asked a simple question. What if we hired great virtual assistants and trained them on AI the way we had trained ourselves - on the real stack, on real business problems - so the tools became a natural part of how they work?

Arca began as a four-week academy. No theory-only certificates. Every day is hands-on reps: building web assets, researching markets, generating content, scraping public data, documenting processes, and automating repeatable work. Each day is recorded as a video submission and collected into a real portfolio.

We trained our first cohorts on our own companies' problems. Our home services business became the proving ground: payroll, reporting, CRM cleanup, the unglamorous stuff. The logic was simple. If a VA's work could hold up inside a real operating business, it could hold up inside yours.

You get someone who owns the research, content, inbox and calendar, data, documentation, and day-to-day operational load you hand them.

The difference is what is in their back pocket. Every Arca VA is trained on Claude Code and the modern AI stack, so they move faster, take on more, and bring a built-in second set of eyes that lowers the risk of errors slipping through. We are honest about the ceiling: these are trained VAs, not senior engineers. The AI is an accelerant on great assistant work, not a replacement for it.

Two kinds of risk, both handled.

The hiring risk: every Arca VA has been interviewed, admitted, trained for four weeks, filtered by who actually finishes, and personally reviewed before we ever put them in front of you. You see the portfolio and the person before you commit. If the fit is not right early, we rematch.

The work risk: because they work with AI tools in hand, routine tasks come back faster and with a quality check built into the process, so fewer things fall through the cracks.
