The useful comparison is not just a list of sites. Ask who controls the shortlist, what evidence you can see and which fees keep running after the developer starts.

How do the main hiring models charge?

These are common models, not universal terms. A provider can offer more than one. Check the agreement for the role you want to fill.

What does “see every profile” change?

You do not have to wait for a matcher to decide who is worth meeting. On Arca.ph, profiles are free to view. Compare expected pay, US-hours overlap, self-reported English, the AI tools developers report using and whether they are open to time tracking. Work history and videos add context when shared.

Time tracking is a preference on the profile. Arca.ph does not provide a tracker. Likewise, self-reported English and AI tools describe what a developer says; they are not a substitute for watched evidence.

You control the marketplace shortlist. Arca.ph reaches out to the people you choose. If a developer agrees to meet, that is an introduction.

Where can I hire vetted full-time remote developers worldwide?

Arca.ph is a marketplace of remote software engineers from around the world. Start with the role, expected pay and the US-hours overlap you need, then compare individual profiles. A location is not proof of a schedule or a skill.

The hire hub links to roles and regions. Use it to explore roles and compare the evidence on individual profiles.

Can my AI assistant search the profiles?

Yes. Connect the assistant you already use to Arca.ph through MCP, a way for an assistant to use an outside service. Grok Bot, ChatGPT or Claude can search and compare the same profiles you can browse.

Ask for the actual trade-offs: expected pay, relevant work, overlap and evidence. Tell the assistant to flag missing information instead of filling it in. You still choose who to meet and hire. Read how it works.

What if I want more proof before I hire?

Test scores appear on profiles when already on file. After an introduction, you can request two-camera proctored tests watched by a real person, in this order:

  1. English screening
  2. Thinking skills
  3. Coding with no AI

The developer shares their screen and uses a phone as a second camera. Further options include a 2-hour build project with AI allowed, the Fire Drill (live pair programming on a real-world problem), and recorded reference checks. Tests are paid and optional; do not assume every profile has completed them.

What should I check before choosing a success-fee service?

  • The trigger. On Arca.ph, the marketplace fee applies if you hire someone Arca.ph introduced within one year of that introduction. There is no fee for someone you were already talking with.
  • The fee basis. Marketplace pricing is 15% of first-year pay, once, not 15% every month.
  • The relationship. You hire and pay the developer directly. There is no ongoing salary markup.
  • The replacement. Every hire includes a 3-month free replacement.
  • Who runs the search. You control the marketplace search. If you want Arca.ph to handle it, done-for-you is a separate path at 35% of first-year pay, once on hire.

FAQ

Do all hiring platforms charge only when you hire?

No. Job posts, ongoing payment fees and recurring staffing rates are different models. Check the terms instead of assuming a free account means a free search.

Is Arca.ph free to browse?

Yes. Profiles are free to view. Optional proctored tests are paid separately.

Can I see candidates before speaking to sales?

On the Arca.ph marketplace, sign in and view profiles for free. You choose who you want to meet.

Does a one-time hiring fee mean no responsibility after the hire?

No. You arrange the contract, pay the developer directly and manage the work. Compare that responsibility with what a recurring provider's rate covers.

What if the hire does not work out?

Tell Arca.ph within the first 3 months. Every hire includes a 3-month free replacement.
