About this Role: We are hiring an AI Tool Researcher to help our company stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape. This role is equal parts researcher, power user, internal educator, and productivity optimizer. Your job is not just to read about AI tools—but to discover them early, test them deeply, and translate their real-world value into practical use cases for our teams across product, engineering, video, operations, and leadership. AI is moving fast. New tools, agents, and workflows appear weekly. This role exists to make sure we don’t fall behind—and more importantly, that we actually use what’s possible. You will work closely with leadership on a daily basis and collaborate with teams across the company to identify where AI can save time, improve quality, or unlock entirely new capabilities. What You’ll Do Discover New AI Tools & Products Actively research and track new AI tools, platforms, and startups across: AI chatbots and copilots AI agents and automation tools AI-powered SaaS products (e.g., research, negotiation, analytics, content, operations) Monitor AI newsletters, communities, and launch platforms (e.g., AI Valley, AI Breakfast, product launches, demos, social media, and forums). Identify tools early—before they become mainstream—and assess their relevance to our business. Example: Discovering tools like new AI chatbots, AI-powered negotiation tools, AI research assistants, or emerging agent frameworks and flagging them for internal use. Hands-On Testing & Experimentation Personally use and test AI tools to understand: What they are actually capable of (not just marketing claims) Where they break What workflows they truly improve Explore advanced and creative use cases across areas such as: Research and analysisProduct development and design Programming and technical workflows Video and content production Operations, HR, payroll, and internal processes Compare tools against each other and recommend the best option for specific needs. This role requires curiosity and experimentation. You are expected to “play,” test, and push tools to their limits. Internal Knowledge Sharing & Enablement Create clear, concise Loom videos, walkthroughs, and internal presentations explaining: What the tool is Why it matters How we should use it Share findings with leadership and relevant teams in a way that is: Practical Actionable Easy to adopt Maintain internal documentation or tool libraries as needed. Your goal is to translate complexity into clarity for the rest of the company. Team Collaboration & Workflow Optimization Meet regularly with team members across: Product Engineering Video / Creative Operations Leadership Understand what each team is doing today and identify: Where AI could speed things up Where AI could improve quality Where AI could enable entirely new workflows Recommend specific tools, agents, or processes tailored to each role. Example: Helping video editors discover better AI UGC tools, helping engineers explore new coding or agent-based workflows, or helping operations teams automate spreadsheets and reporting. AI Agents & Future-Facing Workflows Research and experiment with AI agents and multi-step automation. Explore how AI agents could be used for: Research Product iteration Operations Internal tooling Help leadership think strategically about how AI should be embedded into how we build products and run the company. Who You Are: Extremely curious and self-directed Comfortable learning new tools constantly Excited by experimentation, not intimidated by incomplete documentation Able to explain technical or complex concepts in simple terms Organized enough to track findings, tools, and recommendations Comfortable working closely with leadership Strong written and verbal English communication skills Required Skills & Experience: Strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technology Experience using modern AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude/Opus, copilots, AI SaaS tools) Ability to research independently and synthesize insights Experience creating Loom videos, demos, or internal presentations (or willingness to learn quickly) Comfortable working a graveyard shift aligned with US-based teams Nice to Have (But Not Required): Background in product, research, operations, engineering, or content Experience testing beta products or early-stage tools Familiarity with AI agents, automation platforms, or no-code tools Experience working with distributed or remote teams Why This Role Matters: This role directly impacts: Company productivity Product quality Speed of execution Competitive advantage AI is no longer optional.
