We are hiring an AI Tool Researcher to help our company stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape. This role is equal parts researcher, power user, internal educator, and productivity optimizer.
Your job is not just to read about AI tools—but to discover them early, test them deeply, and translate their real-world value into practical use cases for our teams across product, engineering, video, operations, and leadership. AI is moving fast. New tools, agents, and workflows appear weekly. This role exists to make sure we don’t fall behind—and more importantly, that we actually use what’s possible.
You will work closely with leadership on a daily basis and collaborate with teams across the company to identify where AI can save time, improve quality, or unlock entirely new capabilities.
What You’ll Do
Discover New AI Tools & Products
Actively research and track new AI tools, platforms, and startups across:
AI chatbots and copilots
AI agents and automation tools
AI-powered SaaS products (e.g., research, negotiation, analytics, content, operations)
Monitor AI newsletters, communities, and launch platforms (e.g., AI Valley, AI Breakfast, product launches, demos, social media, and forums).
Identify tools early—before they become mainstream—and assess their relevance to our business.
Example: Discovering tools like new AI chatbots, AI-powered negotiation tools, AI research assistants, or emerging agent frameworks and flagging them for internal use.
Hands-On Testing & Experimentation
Personally use and test AI tools to understand:
What they are actually capable of (not just marketing claims)
Where they break
What workflows they truly improve
Explore advanced and creative use cases across areas such as:
Research and analysisProduct development and design
Programming and technical workflows
Video and content production
Operations, HR, payroll, and internal processes
Compare tools against each other and recommend the best option for specific needs.
This role requires curiosity and experimentation. You are expected to “play,” test, and push tools to their limits.
Internal Knowledge Sharing & Enablement
Create clear, concise Loom videos, walkthroughs, and internal presentations explaining:
What the tool is
Why it matters
How we should use it
Share findings with leadership and relevant teams in a way that is:
Practical
Actionable
Easy to adopt
Maintain internal documentation or tool libraries as needed.
Your goal is to translate complexity into clarity for the rest of the company.
Team Collaboration & Workflow Optimization
Meet regularly with team members across:
Product
Engineering
Video / Creative
Operations
Leadership
Understand what each team is doing today and identify:
Where AI could speed things up
Where AI could improve quality
Where AI could enable entirely new workflows
Recommend specific tools, agents, or processes tailored to each role.
Example: Helping video editors discover better AI UGC tools, helping engineers explore new coding or agent-based workflows, or helping operations teams automate spreadsheets and reporting.
AI Agents & Future-Facing Workflows
Research and experiment with AI agents and multi-step automation.
Explore how AI agents could be used for:
Research
Product iteration
Operations
Internal tooling
Help leadership think strategically about how AI should be embedded into how we build products and run the company.
Extremely curious and self-directed
Comfortable learning new tools constantly
Excited by experimentation, not intimidated by incomplete documentation
Able to explain technical or complex concepts in simple terms
Organized enough to track findings, tools, and recommendations
Comfortable working closely with leadership
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technology
Experience using modern AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude/Opus, copilots, AI SaaS tools)
Ability to research independently and synthesize insights
Experience creating Loom videos, demos, or internal presentations (or willingness to learn quickly)
Comfortable working a graveyard shift aligned with US-based teams
Background in product, research, operations, engineering, or content
Experience testing beta products or early-stage tools
Familiarity with AI agents, automation platforms, or no-code tools
Experience working with distributed or remote teams
This role directly impacts:
Company productivity
Product quality
Speed of execution
Competitive advantage
